The impact of untreated sleep quality disorders can hinder the rehabilitation or recovery process. The sleep quality issues experienced by stroke patients can be addressed through both pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, including the use of complementary therapy such as jasmine aromatherapy.

Objective: To determine the effect of jasmine aromatherapy on the sleep quality of stroke patients.

Methode: The design or type of research used in this study is experimental research. It employs a Non-Equivalent Control Group or Non-Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest design.

Results: Research was conducted on 36 samples in the intervention group that were given jasmine aromaterapy . The effect size was 2,36 and in the control group the p value was found to be 0,058 with an effect size of 0,491.

Conclusion: There is an effect before and after the administration of jasmine aromatherapy.
Anastasia Dian Parlina Agus Purnama Susaldi Susaldi ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-04-04 2024-04-04 14 01 1 7 10.33221/jiiki.v14i01.3184 The Influence of Oral Hygiene Using NaCl 0.9% and Chlorhexidine on Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) in the ICU of Jakarta Hospital https://journals.stikim.ac.id/index.php/jiiki/article/view/3183
Background: VAP is a problem found in patients who are on a ventilator, the VAP has not been considered by nursing staff when providing nursing care processes, starting from when reviewing patients, conducting interventions and evaluating patients. Prevention is done from the beginning of nursing care, one of which is oral hygiene.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of oral hygiene using a combination of 0.9% Natrium Chloride (NaCl) and Chlorhexidine (CHG) in patients who were on a ventilator.

Methods: The design of this study was a quasi experiment with a pretest-post test with a control group design. The sampling technique used the Federer formula with a sample of 18 respondents with 9 respondents per group. Statistical analysis used in this research is univariate characteristic test, bivariate test with paired t-test and for multivariate using simple linear regression test for confounding.

Results: Of the research conducted showed that there was no significant effect in group A before and after the intervention with a p-value (0.403) and the average increased slightly, while group B before and after the intervention had a p-value (0.512) with a decreasing average. The multivariate test found that age confounding had an effect on VAP with a p-value (0.024) while gender confounding had no effect on VAP with a p-value (0.277).

Conclusion: In this study, oral hygiene using a combination of 0.9% NaCl and CHG was effective against VAP.
Noviana Haryanti Irna Nursanti Diana Irawati ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-04-06 2024-04-06 14 01 8 14 10.33221/jiiki.v14i01.3183 The Effect of Supportive Education on Foot Care Knowledge in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus https://journals.stikim.ac.id/index.php/jiiki/article/view/3218
Background: Diabetes Mellitus is a disease that hides before real symptoms appear, such as easy hunger, thirst and frequent urination. Other symptoms are skin disorders such as itching, tingling, numbness due to neuropathy, physical weakness, and wounds on the feet that heal slowly, so foot care is needed for DM patients who have wounds on their feet.

Objectives: To determine the effect of supportive education on knowledge of diabetic foot care in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients.

Methods: This study used a one group pre-test – post-test design using the Wilcoxon test, with a population and sample of 30 respondents, the instrument was a questionnaire on knowledge of foot care in DM patients.

Results: Based on the results of analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test method, it was obtained that the P value was 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of supportive education on knowledge of diabetic foot care in type 2 DM patients.

Conclusion: With the influence of supportive education on knowledge of diabetic foot care in DM patients, in providing nursing care you can apply this supportive education in the care of DM patients.
Saiful Gunardi ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-04-06 2024-04-06 14 01 15 21 10.33221/jiiki.v14i01.3218 Management Information Systems Towards Improving the Quality of Nursing Care Services: A Literature Review https://journals.stikim.ac.id/index.php/jiiki/article/view/3181
Background: Many developing countries are striving to further develop health information technology at the healthcare service level, particularly through the implementation of electronic health records (EHR).

Objectives: This research aims to evaluate the quality and impact of implementing electronic health records in healthcare services from various perspectives.

Methods: The research design employed in this study is a literature review, involving the collection of articles from selected databases, including PubMed and Cochrane. The article search started from the year 2014, and the Boolean operators used were "Electronic Health Record" OR "Electronic Medical Record" OR "EHR" AND "Quality" OR "Documentation" OR "Quality Documentation" OR "Quality Care" AND "Nurs*". The research design incorporated into this study is observational.

Results: The use of Electronic Health Records (EHR) has a significantly positive impact on various healthcare service sectors. Hospitals that have fully implemented EHR show a significant improvement in the quality of patient medical records, a decrease in information delivery delays, and a reduction in patient admission costs.

Conclusion: Investment in EHR technology can be considered a crucial step in enhancing the quality and efficiency of healthcare services while reducing operational costs. However, it is important to note that EHR implementation is not a straightforward task and requires consideration of various factors mentioned above to achieve optimal results in health information management.
Neli Suharti Tutik Sri Hariyati ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-04-07 2024-04-07 14 01 22 31 10.33221/jiiki.v14i01.3181 Methods for Detecting Early Symptoms of Stroke: A Literature Review https://journals.stikim.ac.id/index.php/jiiki/article/view/3165
Background: In the world every 2 seconds 1 person suffers from a stroke, and 16% of the world's population experiences a stroke in their lifetime, every 4 seconds 1 person dies. The initial symptoms of a stroke must be recognized quickly until the stroke patient's golden period of 4.5 hours is over so that there is no wider damage to brain tissue due to a lack of oxygen for too long which causes brain cells (neurons) to die and connections or connections between neurons (synapses) to be lost. can cause paralysis, blurred vision, difficulty speaking, decreased consciousness and even death.

Objectives: To analyze the Early Symptom Detection Method of Stroke.

Methods: The authors conducted a PRISMA-style systematic review of Stroke Early Symptom Detection Methods in various countries. Using five articles that were used and then included for analysis and interpretation.

Results: There are two methods for early detection of early symptoms of stroke that can be used to detect early symptoms of stroke, namely F.A.S.T and BE-FAST. Both methods have the same accuracy and have an optimal limit for detecting stroke of ≥1.

Conclusion: There are two methods for early detection of early symptoms of stroke that can be used to detect early symptoms of stroke, namely F.A.S.T and BE-FAST, for this reason these methods need to be disseminated to the public. So it has the impact of being able to increase knowledge about stroke symptom detection which can increase timely stroke detection before the golden period ends.
Bambang Suryadi ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-04-07 2024-04-07 14 01 32 43 10.33221/jiiki.v14i01.3165 The Effect of Administration of Solanum Lycopersium Var Cerasiforme on Changes in Blood Pressure in Hypertension Patients https://journals.stikim.ac.id/index.php/jiiki/article/view/3119
Background : Hypertension is still a problem for some people because treatment must be carried out regularly and requires regular visits to health facilities. This is a problem for some groups of society, along with the continued use of drugs that have side effects that they must consume with long-term use. Hypertension occurs when systolic blood pressure > 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure > 90 mmHg. Apart from medicines, we can also treat high blood pressure by using natural ingredients such as tomato juice. Tomato juice contains potassium and lycopene, which can lower blood pressure.

Objectives : To determine the effect of giving tomato juice on changes in blood pressure in hypertensive patients.

Methods : Quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design using a non-randomized control group pretest-posttest approach and a sampling technique using purposive sampling.
