Checklist Prepare for Publications

  1. Does your text comply with minimum standards? (written in English; paper length sent at least 4 pages and no more than 16 pages; use tools such as EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero for reference and format management, and choose Vancouver style)
  2. Is your text written in the format of the Jurnal Ilmiah Kebidanan Indonesia (Indonesian Midwifery Scientific Journal)?   7. Section results and discussion: Presentation of results must be simple and straightforward in style. This section reports the most important findings, including the results of appropriate statistical analyzes and comparisons with other research results. The results given in the image do not have to be repeated in the table. This is where the writer must explain what words he found in the study. It must be arranged clearly and in a logical order. This section must be supported by appropriate references.
  8. Part of conclusions: Summarize the main results of the sentence in a paragraph. Is the claim in this section supported by the results, does that make sense? Has the author indicated how the results are related to expectations and previous research? Does the article support or contradict the previous theory? Does the conclusion explain how research has moved the body of scientific knowledge forward?
  9. Please ensure that the text is up to date. It is expected that 10 to 20% of the references will be for the latest paper.
  10. Is the text clearly written? Is the article interesting? Does the content flow well from one part to another? Try saving your script at the right level. It should be easily understood by qualified professionals, but at the same time please avoid describing known facts (use the right reference instead). Often the script receives negative reviews because reviewers cannot understand the script and this is the fault of the author (not the reviewer). Note that if reviewers experience difficulties, other readers will face the same problem and there is no reason to publish the text.
  11. Do you have enough references? We will usually expect a minimum of 10 to 25 references, especially for journal papers, depending on the length of the paper. Quotes from textbooks must be used very rarely and quotes to web pages must be avoided. All papers cited must be referred to in the text of the text.
